Welcome to the website for Christ Lutheran Church. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to share a little about out church. We hope this information will be beneficial as you consider visiting our church.
We know that God loves you and desires the best for you in this life and in eternity with Him. Christ Lutheran seeks to walk with you as you experience God's love and discover the abundant life we have through Faith in Jesus Christ.
We are a church focused on People, not Programs. While programs can be fun and exciting, too often the needs of the individual person gets lost in the shuffle. To keep our focus on strengthen the faith of each individual and the family as a unit, we offer few programs. Rather than breaking families apart with youth going one direction, children another, and parents yet another, we encourage the family to worship together and grow in God's Word together. Rather than signaling out singles for one group, widows for another, and families for another, we gather as one family. We are at different stages of life and facing different circumstances in life. Yet, because we gather as one family, we can encourage and support each other.
Because we focus on People, not Programs, this is the place to go to be filled-up rather than emptied out. Yes, we value people engaged in service. We do not want to burn people out in servitude. Christ said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Mt. 11:28 We seek to be a church that refreshes and recharges for the week ahead.
Because we focus on People, not Programs, we equip and encourage those who gather with us in worship to serve those in need around them. It may be a simple act of kindness, a bottle of water to a thirsty person living on the street. It may be an encouraging visit to someone struggling with an illness or a neighbor in need. When we do things that make a difference in the lives of other, our life is blessed.
